Dermot Murray, founder and President of CV Inc., has been involved in Computer Systems Validation (CSV) and regulatory compliance consulting to the Life Science industries (Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Medical Devices) for over ten years. He has a 20+ year background in industrial automation, specializing in computerized solutions for Life Science applications. Mr. Murray has extensive and varied management experience in all aspects of FDA-regulated activities, having managed both US regional and international business operations in the areas of application engineering, regulatory consulting, software development and support, and the provision of consulting services.
An engineering graduate of both University College Dublin (UCD, Ireland) and of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI, Troy NY), Mr. Murray is a resident of New England and has extensive international experience.
He has worked in power engineering – in the areas of field engineering and control system design - both domestically and internationally, for General Electric; and in industrial automation for various New England high-tech start-up companies. From 1991 to 2000 he was President of Icon Control Systems, Inc., a New England-based supplier of leading-edge automation systems to the chemical, pharmaceutical and defense industries. Since 1995 he has provided consulting services to the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries, specializing in validation, IT and Quality Systems, and FDA compliance requirements.
In 2001, Mr. Murray founded CV Inc. (Control and Validation Services, Inc.), a Massachusetts-based corporation specializing in validation, compliance, automation and associated staffing and engineering services.
